Vinayak Pai Elected as President of CFI's National Council

The Construction Federation of India (CFI) has announced the election of Tata Projects MD & CEO Vinayak Pai as the President of its national council. This decision was made for a two-year term spanning FY25-FY26. Vinayak Pai brings a wealth of experience and leadership to this position, which is expected to drive significant advancements in the construction industry.

New Leadership Team

Alongside Vinayak Pai, other prominent leaders have been elected to key positions in the council. Akhil Gupta, Executive Director & CEO of Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Pvt. Ltd., will serve as Vice President. Priti Patel, Deputy Director of Patel Engineering Ltd., has been named Treasurer. Their combined expertise and vision are set to guide CFI towards achieving its strategic goals.

The newly elected council includes representatives from some of the top infrastructure construction companies in India. Notable members include: .Ajit Bhate, Managing Director, Precast India Infrastructures .Arjun Dhawan, Vice Chairman, Hindustan Construction Company Ltd. .Hardik Agrawal, Director, Dineshchandra R Agrawal Infracon .M V Satish, Adviser to CMD for Buildings & Member ECOM, L&T Ltd. .Nalin Gupta, Managing Director, J Kumar Infraprojects .Krishnam Raju P, Vice President, NCC Ltd. .Vimal Kejriwal, Managing Director & CEO, KEC International .Yogen Lal, CEO, Welspun Enterprises Ltd. These leaders are expected to bring diverse perspectives and innovative ideas to the council.

Ajit Gulabchand Named President Emeritus

In addition to the new appointments, Ajit Gulabchand has been unanimously nominated as President Emeritus. This honorary title recognizes his significant contributions to the industry and CFI’s ongoing efforts to drive policy advocacy and foster collaboration between industry stakeholders and government agencies.

CFI’s Role in the Industry

Established in 2000, the Construction Federation of India has been at the forefront of advocating for policy changes and enhancing cooperation between the construction industry and government bodies. The organization plays a crucial role in shaping the future of the construction sector in India.
