To ease passenger movement during ongoing construction, Secunderabad Railway Station has introduced new entry points at Gate No. 2, Gate No. 3, and Gate No. 8, along with additional seating, waiting halls, and improved signage.
In response to ongoing construction work, Secunderabad Railway Station has introduced new entry points to enhance passenger movement and convenience. These changes aim to minimize congestion and provide a smoother travel experience for commuters.
1. Gate No. 2 (Beside Ganesh Temple) now features a new entry into Platform No. 1, along with a general booking counter, an enquiry section, and a waiting hall with a capacity for 750 passengers and 500 additional seats.
2. Gate No. 3 (opposite Swathi Hotel) and Gate No. 8 (Bhoiguda side entrance) provide direct access to Platform No. 10 and include general booking facilities.
3. Improved signage has been installed at station entry/exit points, circulating areas, platforms, and foot over bridges (FOBs) to assist passengers with navigation.
These infrastructure enhancements will help ensure smoother passenger flow and minimize disruptions caused by ongoing construction. The addition of new waiting areas and seating further improves comfort for travelers.
