Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini chaired pivotal meetings focused on urban development for the metropolitan authorities of Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat, and Panchkula on Wednesday. These sessions were instrumental in approving various significant projects aimed at enhancing the infrastructure and urban landscape of these key cities.
During the 13th meeting of the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), a substantial budget of Rs 2,887.32 crore was approved for the financial year 2024-25. This allocation is expected to drive numerous projects aimed at improving the city's infrastructure, transportation networks, and overall urban environment. The approval of such a considerable budget underscores the government’s commitment to transforming Gurugram into a modern and well-connected metropolis.
In addition to Gurugram, the development authorities of Faridabad, Sonipat, and Panchkula also received attention during these meetings. Various projects were discussed and approved, focusing on enhancing road networks, public transportation, and urban amenities. These initiatives are part of a broader strategy to boost economic growth and improve the quality of life for residents in these cities.
