SONA at ACE TECH Bengaluru 2026: Construction Equipment Showcase Recap

SONA at ACE TECH Bengaluru 2026: Construction Equipment Showcase Recap
Sona Construction Technologies
12-10-2026

SONA Construction Technologies exhibited at ACE TECH Bengaluru 2026, held from 9 to 11 October at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru. Our stall was E50 in Hall No. 1.

For contractors, engineers and equipment buyers, an exhibition is one of the few places to see machines up close, compare options and ask technical questions in a single visit. This recap covers the six machines we showcased, how each is used on site and what to check before buying one. It should be useful even if you could not attend.

Quick overview

  • Event: ACE TECH Bengaluru 2026
  • Dates: 9–11 October 2026
  • Venue: BIEC, Bengaluru, Karnataka
  • Location: Hall No. 1, Stall E50

About ACE TECH Bengaluru 2026

Construction equipment at a construction site

ACE TECH is an exhibition for architecture, building materials and design. These areas connect directly to construction, because design and material decisions shape the methods and machinery a project needs.

A structural design calls for reinforcement to be cut and bent accurately. A façade needs safe access at height. A road or pavement needs proper compaction. This made the exhibition a relevant platform for SONA to meet builders, contractors, dealers and other professionals who deal with these requirements every day.

Construction Equipment Showcased by SONA

We showcased six machines and categories at our stall. The notes below are general guidance on how this equipment is used, not specifications of individual models. For model-level details, please see the linked product pages or contact our team.

Rebar Bending Machine GW42

SONA construction equipment showcase at ACE TECH Bengaluru 2026

A rebar bending machine shapes steel bars into hooks, stirrups and other bends needed in reinforced concrete. Powered bending is faster and more consistent than manual bending, especially on repetitive work where many bars need the same shape.

  • Who benefits: steel fabricators, TMT ring makers, contractors and bar bending yards.
  • What to check: bar capacity, bending angles, speed and the bend types your drawings require.

Bar Cutting Machine GQ40

SONA GQ40 rebar cutting machine

A bar cutting machine cuts reinforcement bars to the lengths listed in the bar bending schedule. Clean, consistent cuts reduce wastage and save labour, particularly on jobs that use large quantities of steel.

  • Who benefits: fabrication yards, contractors and infrastructure companies handling high steel volumes.
  • What to check: maximum bar diameter, motor power, cutting speed and blade replacement cost.

Mini Mixers

SONA mini concrete mixers for construction applications

Mini mixers are compact concrete mixers for small and medium jobs such as footings, repairs and finishing work. They suit places where a larger mixing setup is impractical or where concrete is needed in small batches.

  • Who benefits: builders, small contractors and renovation teams.
  • What to check: drum capacity, power source and how easily the mixer can be moved around the site.

Mixing is only one step in producing quality concrete. Our guide to grades of concrete from M5 to M80 explains how compaction needs change with the grade. Browse mini mixers.

Suspended Platforms

SONA suspended platform equipment for construction and building maintenance

A suspended platform gives workers access to building façades at height. It is commonly used for painting, cladding, glazing and maintenance on multi-storey buildings, where scaffolding may be slow or impractical.

  • Who benefits: façade contractors, painting and maintenance companies and high-rise builders.
  • What to check: rated load, platform length, safety locks and operator training. Because this equipment carries people, safety should come before price.

Walk-Behind Rollers

SONA walk-behind rollers for soil and surface compaction

Walk-behind rollers are operated on foot and compact soil, granular layers and asphalt in places larger rollers cannot reach. Typical uses are narrow lanes, small parking areas, trenches and patch repairs.

  • Who benefits: road and pavement contractors, civic works teams and equipment rental businesses.
  • What to check: drum width, operating weight, vibration settings and ease of handling.

Browse walk-behind rollers.

XCMG Ride-On Roller XMR110

SONA XMR 110 road roller for construction and road compaction

XCMG describes the XMR110 as an articulated, double-drum vibratory roller built for narrow working spaces. That makes it suited to small road, pavement and compaction jobs where manoeuvrability matters more than size. SONA is an authorised XCMG dealer.

  • Who benefits: road contractors, infrastructure companies and rental fleets.
  • What to check: working width, operating weight, vibration system, water sprinkling and service support.

Why Construction Equipment Selection Matters

The right machine saves time, while the wrong one adds cost for years. Before buying construction machinery in India or elsewhere, consider:

  • Project requirements: the volume and type of work, not just the purchase price.
  • Material specifications: bar diameters, soil type or concrete grade.
  • Site conditions: access, space, power availability and working height.
  • Operating capacity: whether the machine suits your daily workload without being overstretched.
  • Maintenance and spares: how easily consumables, parts and servicing are available.
  • Operator skill and safety: the training needed and the safety features built in.
  • Total cost of ownership: purchase price plus power or fuel, servicing, downtime and resale value.

Asking a supplier about these points before purchase usually prevents expensive mismatches later.

Industry Connections and Business Opportunities

Exhibitions allow engineers, contractors, dealers and suppliers to discuss real site requirements face to face. Buyers can ask about capacity, servicing and spares, and suppliers learn what site teams actually need.

These conversations often help buyers shortlist machines before making a decision. They also help dealers understand regional demand and the kind of equipment their customers ask for.
